ThrottleX ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.
ThrottleX requires access to your location (including background location) to:
Foreground Service: We use a foreground service to ensure location tracking continues reliably even if you switch apps or turn off your screen during a ride.
The app requires the SEND_SMS permission. This is used exclusively for the "Automated SOS" feature. If a crash is detected and you do not cancel the countdown, the app will send a single SMS to your designated emergency contact containing your GPS location. We do not read your personal messages.
We access high-frequency IMU sensors (accelerometer, gyroscope) to calculate lean angles, G-forces, and detect potential impacts and crashes.
All ride data, telemetry, and settings are stored locally on your device. ThrottleX does not upload your ride history or location data to any external servers.
We use Google Maps API to display maps and Google Assistant (App Actions) to allow voice commands (e.g., "Hey Google, start a ride on ThrottleX"). These services may collect data as governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
ThrottleX is for informational purposes only. Motorcycling is inherently dangerous. The Automated SOS feature depends on cellular signal and GPS accuracy and is not a guaranteed life-saving device.
